Firearm transfers

Suppressors and other NFA items received on your behalf and held until your Form 4 is approved.

  • Receive and log the item on our bound book

  • Secure storage until ATF approval, then pickup by appointment

How a transfer works

    Send us the seller's request

    Give the seller or retailer our FFL details, or submit the transfer request form and we will email a copy of our license to them.

  2. 2

    We receive and log your firearm

    You get a text or email as soon as it arrives and is logged into our books.

  3. 3

    Book your pickup appointment

    All transfers are by appointment. Complete Form 4473 and the background check in person; bring the documents listed below.

    Pick up after the waiting period

    Florida requires a waiting period for most purchases unless you hold a valid concealed weapon license. We will tell you the exact pickup date.

How much is an FFL transfer at Diamond Dynamics?

Firearm transfers and private sale transfers are $35 per firearm. NFA items are $100 per item including storage through your Form 4 approval. Confirm current fees on the services page.

Where are you located?

Diamond Dynamics operates from a private facility in Cape Coral, Florida, strictly by appointment. The address is sent when you request a transfer or book a session. We serve Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs and the rest of Southwest Florida.

What do I need to bring?

A current government photo ID with your address, your Florida concealed weapon license if you have one, and payment. Out-of-date ID addresses need a second government document.

How long does the background check take?

Most FDLE checks return in minutes. Florida's waiting period still applies unless you are exempt, for example with a concealed weapon license.

Do you accept out-of-state or non-resident transfers?

Long guns can transfer to non-residents where legal in both states. Handguns must transfer in your state of residence. Ask before you buy and we will confirm.

Can you do NFA transfers and Form 4s?

Yes. We receive suppressors and other NFA items on a Form 3, guide you through the eForm 4 with fingerprints and photos, and store the item securely until ATF approves.
